Makenrow is a versatile singjay from Vitoria Gasteiz, Basque Country. He is an underground artist mostly known for performing as Singjay with Aiaraldeko Sound System. He is a reggae music lover so usually passes through the sound system sessions in the Basque Country.

He is an artist who knows reggae and sound system culture very well. His teacher is Hi Grade, from Valencia. He was the one who discovered Makenrow's talent and convinced him to start writing his own lyrics. Thanks to the Hi Grade's tips, Makenrow now dominates singjay skills. He is a good Mc to warm up the atmosphere in the dancehall as well as to ride any version.

George Palmer and Makenrow connected through the sound system movement of the Basque Country. They have met many times in sessions so they established a relationship and this has led them to collaborate together. In this case it was George Palmer who heard Makenrow singing over a version of a Martin Campbell dubplate that was selected by the selector of at Aiaraldeko Sound. So George proposed to Makenrow to create a similar version.

The creation process was interesting since the riddim that George created at the beginning was modified several times until reaching this final version. "Living In an Illusion" is a heavyweight sound system style tune. Makenrow performs this vocal in a kind of meditation-style mantra with a message of social criticism. The beat was created by George Palmer using drum machines and synthesizers from the 90s. The track and version were mixed by George Palmer in his own studio and mastered at Jimmie Dub Troubles in London.
